James Harold Nance - - Died April 8th 2008
                                   JAMES HAROLD NANCE

was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on August 9, 1937 the son of the late Charlie and Abby Clay
Nance.

On December 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to the former Robbie Jo Holt, who survives.

Mr. Nance was a retired Captain from the Savannah Fire Department. He had also worked for Brown
Shoe Company, Angelica, did some service station work and was a security guard at Points of Pickwick.
Mr. Nance enjoyed camping, fishing, Ham and CB radio operations and computers.

He departed this life on April 8, 2008 at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Alabama at the age of 70 years,
7 months and 30 days.

Other than his wife, Robbie Jo of Crump, Tennessee, he is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Brown of
Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Lisa Boroughs of Savannah, Tennessee and Gina Fugate of Morris Chapel,
Tennessee.

6 grandchildren, Chris and Clint Franks, Brittney Boroughs, Brandy Boroughs, Dakota Davis and Kaylee
Nance

Mr. Nance was also preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Clay Nance.

James was an active Firefighter from June 1974 - July 1999 and retired as a Fire Captain.  James stayed
active in the city and the county Fire Department for many years working in District 5. He was an active
Hamm operator, an avid weather watcher and served as a Fire Instructor for many firefighters.
