This was a 2 vehicle motor vehicle crash on Hwy 128 and Pyburn Dr. in District 7.
Engine 71 and 74 responded along with rescue 1 and extricated the patient.
On Sun. July 20, units from District 7, 3 and station 12 responded to an electrical fire at the
Botel resturant and hotel below Pickwick Dam. The fire was contained to the attic
.
On August 28 @ 4:46 PM District 2 and Rescue 1 were dispatched to a reported drowning near Savannah City Park. The search was
continued Fri. and Sat. until the body was recovered about 10 am Sat. A big THANK YOU to all the Volunteers that helped
District 6,7, 8 and Engine 12 responded to a house fire on 8-30-08, The fire
started in the utility room and was contained mostly to one room.
The 64 hour basic Fire class was completed last week with 17 firefighters finishing class.
Congratulations!!! They will attend the live fire training class on the Sept. 19- 21.

On Friday Oct. 3, A person walking along Botel Rd,
below Pickwick Dam, found this old Military shell.
The EOD team from Fort Campbell was called and
identified it as a live 81 millimeter mortar round.
The team detonated it on site.

On the morning of Dec. 23 we responded to several
vehicle accidents due to ice on bridges, with
tempertures just below freezing and light rain many
bridges turned into sheets of ice. District 2 had five
accidents it about an hour on Hwy 64 between Crump
and Savannah. District 9 and 11 also responded to
accidents, by noon all the ice had melted.
On the morning of Dec. 22, District 5, 4 and E-12 responded to a house fire in the 3000 block of Clifton
Rd. The temp. was in the low 20's. Light smoke was showing upon arrival of E-12, A quick interior attack
was made and the fire was contained to one room. The cause of the fire was an electrical wall heater,
The house had been vacant for about a year. Thanks to the fast response and great job of all the fire
